About this site
My name is Lois and I'm the creator and caretaker of "CareNurse.com" and "On Patches and Bears". I'm a registered nurse, and I work in a local allergy clinic. Until the end of 1999 I worked part time in a local hospital as well. I live in the beautiful hill-country of Arkansas. I have two children, Denise and Nathan (both grown), and two grandchildren, Devin and Emily. I've done a lot of freelance writing in the past, but now I mostly just write web pages.
The Title Poem and its meditative sequel "Frayed Patches" which follows it reveal a little about the concept of On Patches and Bears.
